We were in a campervan. The owner & staff are friendly & helpful. The site is clean with lovely views. Never mind the dawn chorus just listening to the birds singing as they came back to their nests was beautiful.
From one Holiday Park Manager to another....very impressed,, loved it! Vanessa & her daughter are very welcoming, bubbly and hold a tight rein! This was reflected when seeing how clean the facilities were and the care put into the immaculate lawns. Self contained unit was comfortable, clean, warm and with everything you would need to cater for your stay! Such peace and quiet. Wonderful! Can be fur baby friendly? Ring the park first! Home away from home literally! Top marks for this Holiday Park.
only stayed here for a night but i absolutely loved the place. so clean and tidy and staff were ever so friendly and kind. the place was beautiful and clean and the vibes were amazing, and for the price? i would rate it 10 stars if i could, literally can’t think of one down side other then they were out of coffee
Very nice campground! Everything is clean and nice owners:
Clean, peaceful, and well-appointed self-contained cabins, along with tent and caravan sites. Short walk to The Kauri Museum. Amazing night skies, with no light pollution. Perfect for star-gazing.
We had a great stay- the owner and her dog were super friendly and welcoming, the views were serene, the amenities clean and tidy, the accomodation exactly what was advertised. The views and the grounds of the holiday park were perhaps the highlight of our stay... and the trampoline. If you're after a quaint country escape- I'd recommend Matakohe Holiday Park!
The lovely ladies that run this park are so kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to help me as I had car trouble one night. They put me at ease and I had the most restful sleep. Even a free meal. Angels that hide their wings lol amenities were great, everything was clean. A quiet safe place to stay. Beautiful setting. I really cannot thank the ladies enough. Good folk. Thank you
The hosts were kind and friendly, the room was clean and cozy. It's near Kauri Museum so the location is easy to find. However it needs work on the wifi as the connection wasn't strong enough that it kept being disconnected. There's no hood ventilation in the kitchen. It was hard to cook fish that we caught from the Tinopai wharf because of the smell and couldn't even open the windows due to insect attack at night.
An absolutely beautiful campground, very child friendly with great indoor toys and a beautiful playground with trampoline. Lovely facilities and superb hosts, even offered us fresh peaches straight for the tree. Best place we stayed west cost. Will definitely visit again if in the area.Service: 5/5
