My sister and I stayed here last weekend. It was amazing. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfy.The motel was a minutes walk to the Markets and various restaurants and shops.nThe hosts were helpful, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.nWe will definitely return. Stars well earned.
Fantastic place! We stayed here for 2 nights in the executive studio and it was lovely. Very private and quiet and had a bbq just outside the room on the private patio. Bed was super comfy! Would definitely stay here again
Matakana Motel is such a nice place to stay and so handy to everything. It's a short walk to all the restaurants, bars and the local supermarket. I found the staff to be welcoming and polite, the grounds are well maintained and it has a busy vibrant atmosphere but is still quiet. The perfect spot to explore Matakana.
Booked family, studio and cabin.nCouple of mentions.. The studio was superb, the family unit was good but considering it was a family unit I would have thought a toddler gate to be available for the stairs. The stairs were steep and the pull out sofa was pretty rough. Finally the cabin really is a converted garage and I feel just a bit over priced for what it was. It was however decked out quite well but if you are taller than six foot good luck.
Weir Tours had a great one night stay here. Rooms were very clean and certainly a great location. The hosts Ray and Marilyn were excellent. Thank you
