Lovely host, we didn't see much of them as late arrival and early departure. Rooms were clean well looked after, warm and inviting.
Very clean and tidy,it’s abit tired looking,but we had a lovely room and the place all to ourselves.The host a lovely cheerful person.Yes we would stay there again.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and considering the price is lower than most in the region it's reasonable value.nThe bathroom seems to have been updated in the last couple of years as has the carpet. There are no kitchen facilities, and no milk supplied but this is quite clearly stated. The room was clean and tidy though the gardens look neglected - consider it 'meadow-style' surroundings. :nThe standout feature was the owner/manager Eric Lai who was kind and friendly to deal with at all times.
Super cool manager...always a smile and helpful manner. Made you feel welcome and reminded me of a bygone era where guests were treated as such. Prepared to go the extra mile for stay to be as comfortable as possible. Definitely a huge asset to the establishment. Room was very spacious with French doors out to the garden. Retro feel to it. Would most definitely be my first choice if traveling through Masterton again. Loved it.
