A dedicated and diverse team of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners based in the Wairarapa, Masterton.

Story

Masterton BJJ trains under the Fortitude roof and caters to all levels.

Jamie founded Masterton BJJ, the only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club in Wairarapa, which has been training out of the Fortitude facility for the last three years.

Jamie himself has been practicing BJJ for over ten years and was awarded his blue belt by Geoff Grant of GSW Wellington.

Jamie has competed in grappling competitions mainly focusing on No-Gi, which is submission wrestling without the traditional BJJ Gi uniform and really enjoys this aspect of the art.

Jamie has won medals in these style competitions and also coached students to medals as well.

Great place to learn BJJ. Coach Phan has a great eye for the technical details and you get to train with a bunch of cool people with no egos. If you live in or near Masterton this is where you go to learn the gentle art.
