Master Of Gingerbread

After reading all the positive reviews I was so excited to try this place... and so disappointed when I did. Gluten free afghans were terrible, full stop - the taste and texture both very strange. The ordinary afghans also needed improvement - more butter in the dough and more icing. Also, the little flake of walnut looks like you're being really tight...almost not worth bothering. The Belgium biscuits demonstrated a lack of quality control. These biscuits should be thin and flat. Mine were all different sizes and thicknesses, as if a toddler had rolled out the dough. Plus one, some small slim biscuits were paired with great big thick things, which seemed really careless. Again, a really sad amount of icing so they were dry and unpleasant and honestly just tasted like baking soda. Haven't got to the yo-yos yet but hopefully they're better. Overall, I could have made much better biscuits at home and so it's disappointing to have paid for what I thought would be nostalgic treats but turned put to be bit of a waste of money and ingredients. I recommend consulting Ladies, A Plate as all the biscuits mentioned here are in that book and the recipes make for much, much better results. Update: mother in law had some kind of apple pastry which wasn't cooked on the bottom. Have contacted business and hoping they can rectify. I may come back to see if the gingerbread is better but definitely won't buy the biscuits again.

I wouldn't consider myself, in any measure, a connoisseur of baked desserts. What I can confidently say, however, is that everything I've had from here is absolutely stunning. The range of items available ensures that there is something to fit everyone's taste. Of those that I have tried, the titular gingerbread, afghans, and cheesecake of various flavours have been the highlights. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes high quality food.

Great shop. Lovely baking. Took Grand daughter after very good game of Netball. She chose gingerbread men and clown faces. I made good deal. Three packets of biscuits needed for morning tea at group function.

Aaron is a good friend of my husband and mine. His baking everything is done fresh out of the oven. I definitely and highly recommend Master of Gingerbread because they have the baking in Palmerston North. Aaron makes and bakes everything from scratch and he himself bakes everything and makes it all even when it runs out he makes a fresh lot. And what's even better is you can order either over the phone or via Messenger as they're on Facebook and Messenger.

Best real tasting gingerbread "people" I've ever tasted! Some shops sell a bland tasteless cinnamon blend, these ones were crisp to bite with a lovely ginger flavour. The kids all enjoyed the wonderful pink marshmallow biscuits too. Highly recommend.

Hands down the most amazing sweet and savory! treats I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Friendly and amazing, every time I walk in the door, there's always a happy smile that comes out from the back. Perfect place to get smoko treats, and I'm pretty sure he makes birthday cakes too. AND NOW HE HAS COFFEE!! This place can't be real, but I assure you, it is. Thank you for opening your little slice of heaven, it's perfection!!
