What can be more enjoyable than having a decent curry during a cold rainy day? My very first impression on non-food matters: Excellent service as if you are dining at a Michelin restaurant and great ambience. Their foods are amazing! Look at the food presentation of the starters, simply beautiful and most importantly, they taste really good. Curry I could not remember the Indian name for it had a balance taste of spiciness and spices with a generous amount of onions, which makes a great combination with the Garlic Naan. Refreshing taste of the dessert mainly made from carrots, quite a new experience for me. With a satisfying pint of Kingfisher, nothing can go wrong with this meal. I am grateful for the fact that the restaurant was saved from permanent closure. This is an Indian restaurant that you should not miss if you are looking for delicious and authentic Indian meal. I would have rated more than 5 stars if the system allows me to do so.
I went here for an event, raising money for Maggie's Nottingham. Had a really great time, the food was amazing. Indian food isn't something I've really had before, but masala junction has converted me, the food was incredible. With it being an even we had a choice of foods, which was great as it meant I was able to try different foods and loved it all. Can't wait to go again.
Situated in a wonderful old bank building the Masala Junction is conveniently situated within 5 min stroll from the Mercury hotel. On our arrival my wife & I received a very warm welcome and we’re shown to our table. Inside was decorated for Christmas however the restaurant’s own tasteful decor was attractive and very fitting. The menu although not huge had a very good choice of starters, Mains and deserts, additionally a varied choice of wines was available. We ordered the onion barji & vegetable samosas which arrived swiftly, both looked & tasted amazing! For Mains we ordered Chicken Jalfrezi which was a tasty, and delightfully spicy dish & Chicken Tika Tak also delicious although less spicy. Both dishes were generous portions, super tasty, food arrived nice and hot and all was complimented by sides of light perfectly cooked Pilau rice, potato & spinach Sag and quite possibly the best Nan bread we’ve ever tasted! We were both too full for deserts so unable to review those other than to say that what was on offer looked incredibly diverse and sounded delicious. The wine was also superb and the service was outstanding, we cannot fault anything and would highly recommend.
What a lovely classy restaurant.Loved the ambience and the service is impeccable. For starters ordered papdi tiki Chaat ... absolutely delicious and for drinks ordered a mango lassi and I can say it's the best mango lassi I tasted in a while. For mains ordered matar paneer and roti.Matar paneer had hint of Chaat masala but worked perfect for my taste buds. Highly recommend this place.
A superb restaurant in every detail. Food is remarkable service is immaculate…the aziz family have worked wonders to produce the finest eatery and most pleasant restaurant in the area .. the cake was delicious delicious and delightfully light …
We had a marvelous meal here. Great food and really friendly staff made us feel well atteneded. First time trying Goat curry and we both truly enjoyed it.
Food — The quality and flavor of food was excellent. You can feel it's really fresh. I must say I have visited many restaurants in the UK and have reviewed the food and quality, but the freshness I saw at this hotel is at another level. When you visit any Asian restaurant you will more or less have the same food menu and many paneer varieties. I have seen only one item of Paneer here and that has completely amazed me. The menu had a few items listed, but they were unique, and I can guarantee whichever you order it will definitely be at par quality and taste. You will regret having no Paneer item here. Price - Reasonable price, it cost £82 for 5 people. Location – It is on a high road, next to LIDL. Reservation - We booked the table in advance to avoid any delays. I recommend a reservation. The restaurant is quick in responding to your queries. Customer service – The service offered here is nothing less than a family welcome, brilliant staff, smiling face, happy to chat and offer any advice you want. The staff will come and ask for anything you want or if you need any help. The staff were extremely talented and trained to deliver 5-star experience. The food was presented and served hot. The owner is from Pakistan and chatted with us in a friendly manner. The owner understand we have had a long day and were really tiered and hungry, and was very quick in delivering our food. He went extra mile, served with us Poppadom and chatni highly recommended Mint and Apple Chutney until the main course arrives. Next time I visit Nottingham I will surely visit the restaurant and have food.
Beautiful place, delicious food, clean stuff, and friendly staff. I recommend you try vegetable samosa and mix grilled chicken. But the menu price is a bit expensive compared to other Indian restaurants :
Had a lovely meal, everything was cooked well and tasted wonderful. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The meat was juicy and tender and the boiled rice was light and fluffy and not sticky like it can be sometimes. All in all a great meal and I'd definitely come back again.
Absolute fantastic meal. Would highly recommend
