The chilly chicken tastes great though bit oily, and I would rate 9/10. However, the Chicken Biriyani was a big disappointment 1/10. It was bland or I just felt some colourful rice mixed with boiled chicken. Something was missing - could be the right herbs or the chef couldn’t get the right masala/ingredients
Dawat is a great place for dining on the taste of India. There was plenty of meat and nice thick gravy. The restaurant was well appointed with freshly painted walls and new flooring. The pictures added Indians scenes. There were lots of takeaways being collected while we were there. Go and give it a try. Easy parking.
Just had lunch here and what a great experience. The staff were lovely and the food was to die for. We will certainly be back and we shall bring friends Food: 5/5
Everything taste delicious and yum. Really like the butter chicken especially, so creamy. I can see people coming in & out taking their takeaways throughout my dinner time. Keep up the good work, chefs!
Worst take away experience i have ever experienced for several reasons. 1 high price for low quality food, the butter chicken was watery and tasted average. 2 curry as served in circle containers instead of rectangular ones, which seemed to be a smaller serving size as normally we would have leftovers im not 100% sure because of reason 3 3 the circle containers are cheap and poor quality and the lids come off very easily, this resulted in piping hot watery butter chicken spilling out first turning the bag to mush then runing down my partners lap causing superficial burns to her thigh and groin, and potentially ruining her hoodie, jeans and passenger seat with stains. A memorable mothers day dinner for all the wrong reasons. 1st and last time we will go to Dawat.
Too expensive for quality of food. Never had a dry curry until now. chicken was white breast and so dry. Next time I will drive the extra 20 minutes to get authentic curry. Butter Chicken tasted like they used the Watties can for a base. The star is for their front of house who was excellent.
Got a Lamb vindaloo, however there was almost more chunks of fat than actual meat in it and wasnt much rice in the container. Not much value for the price of the meal. No combo meals either which is normally the go to for most. Not a great start for the place so they may have to step up
Now called Dawat, this place has excellent customer service, had a mix up on the phone regarding the naan and they gave me a free naan to correct the mixup. Lovely atmosphere will definitely come back!
Nice first curry in a new resturant in bellblock. Pashwari naan was great. Id give iit a try if in area. Vegetarian options: There are options
Got takeaways for 4 and all very happy with the food some could not eat it all. Saved for tomorrow.
