Of the beaten track so to speak - "at the end of the road". Beautiful beach with an outside shower and changing plus toilet facilities. Well worth a visit for a quick dip in the ocean or a stroll on the beach. Parking should not be a problem but no other facilities but then I might be mistaken as there is a caravan park.
Just got back from martins bay campground and must say this was the best camping experience I’ve had. Children loved the kayaks and swimming was spot on for them as well. Staff were amazing. Top place to be this summer
Such a cute wee beach with a campground, playground and a beautiful beach! We loved visiting and will be back soon for summer
Great holiday campground to celebrate birthdays.. My son loves and enjoys the go cart. Has clean toilets and friendly staff..
Great place for family kids break. Need too control older kids 14 yrsin play ground, language not acceptable for young ones.
Wonderful camping ground. Very quiet, and quite sheltered also. Love this camping ground, and recommend staying there. Very friendly owners, and you made to feel welcome to be there.
Awesome park. clean facilities, great staff. perfect for kids. Highly recommend.
Gorgeous beach, nice picnic tables with great views
Great campground thats close to auckland. We normally camp at the doc ones so this was a real treat. They have showers with good water pressure a kitchen bbqs playgrounds and a games room. Our kids found others to play with very easily the beach is flat and calm nice for the children. Ground was soft and easy to peg. We were back from the foreshore which was a good thing as the cyclone came through. The campground people walked to every tent that Saturday letting us know what we can do and where to go if anything goes wrong they left the games room open for shelter and at 2am I saw the manager lady letting family's into any cabins that were available for shelter as tent poles were snapping and people were packing up and heading home due to rain and winds being so bad. We will definitely go back again and may even try one of there glamping bell tents.
Perfect for families. Stayed for a quick winter holiday that is a short drive from Auckland. Staff are great and genuinely helpful. Facilities are wrll maintained and very clean, most likely due to the lack of people staying here during winter. We stayed in a caravan but a cabin would have been way warmer. The children loved it though. There is some internet, and barely any cell phone reception so great way to disconnect. Everywhere seems to be wheel chair friendly. Beach is great and plenty of things to do with the children.
