We had wonderful meals and overall a fantastic experience at MPH. Both the lamb rump and lamb shank melted in the mouth. Oysters were big, fresh, delicious. Flavours within the meals were superb, our service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were lovely, a real treat in the sunshine. The manager was a lovely lady and we enjoyed our conversation with her towards the end of the night. Would highly recommend this venue!
We weren't expecting much when we came to this restaurant, just the usual pub fare like burgers and such.nnThe lamb shank in massaman curry sauce was a revelation, incredibly delicious, served with another revelation, Riceberry rice, an almost black Thai rice.nnMy wife found her pan fried salmon with red curry paste also delicious and really enjoyed the accompanying dish of Riceberry rice.nnService was kind and attentive.nnPossibly one of the best meals we had during our month in New Zealand and at a place we would never have thought would have such good food.nnAtmosphere was typical sports bar/pub.
We had a great meal last night. The steak and seasonal veggies were cooked perfectly. My wife's burger was packed with flavour. The service was excellent and great value fot money. Overall, a awesome dining experience. We'll done MPH, highly recommended. Cheers
The meals are affordable for all wallet types with very generous portions. The service was impeccable to the point whereby the the bar attendants actually corrected a drink I mistakenly ordered because he remembered that I don't consume alcohol. Yes I do frequent this venue alot by myself. So shoutout to the great bar staff nnAt times, I would attend the live band sessions during the night & still see great service. Rowdy crowd? The security & bar staff handle it well without escalating the issue. Staff will always check on you regularly too if you are alone.nnUltimately, it is a great place to patronize with others or by yourself.
Been here twice recently, firstly sitting at a high table with friends which was fun. Then booked the restaurant and my other friends and I all enjoyed our meals. Fabulous service, so thank you. Will definitely be back!
