Tucked away in the idyllic seaside setting of Half Moon Bay, is one of eastern bays’ best kept secrets… the Marina Salon. Those who have been ‘in the know’ as loyal customers, are now enjoying a delightful new position and a vibrant modern salon as developments for the Marina Shopping Centre progress.

Rachael Moore, Director/Owner of 14 years and with 22 years of hair dressing experience, leads her team and instills a passionate dedication not only for technical expertise, but creative flair and design.

Uniquely, Marina Salon is truly a family business with the ‘Moore sisters’ all involved. Charlotte Moore, a hairdresser for 12 years manages the salon, supported by Jo Moore who controls reception and co-ordinates the many administrative demands.
The team is completed with three dedicated senior stylists – Laura Clark, Carmen Potgieter, and Danielle Bryce.

At a time when many businesses considered a period of retraction or worse – Rachael bravely pursued a growth and development phase and embraced the task of creating a new salon. Rachael appointed Wingate & Farqhuar who architecturally designed the salon. The brief was clear – Rachael was determined to maintain the amazingly friendly atmosphere that Marina Salon clients had always enjoyed, but within a high fashion salon that was still very warm and comfortable to be in. Soft colours, spacious surroundings and luxurious fittings have set the scene for the customer to relax and unwind. David Wingate and Rachael worked meticulously together to fuse both the art and science of hairdressing for the ultimate customer experience.

Recognised within the industry, Marina Salon has been awarded the title of A Wella ‘RED’ Salon, and is an exclusive stockist of Sebastian and Wella.
With state of the art technical support from Wella plus continuous in-house staff training, customers are assured that they are receiving all the latest hairdressing techniques and methods.

Marina Salon is now proudly using the Kitomba (Salon & Spa Software) which has built-in bulk text-messaging merging, all linked to a customer database. Customers are contacted via text and mobile calls prior to their appointments, and individual needs and preferences are recorded. The emphasis on building strong and lasting relationships to ensure absolute customer satisfaction is part of Marina Salon’s core values.

Rachael and her team live and breathe hairdressing – making the customer feel confident, looking great and feeling totally pampered by the experience at Marina Salon. Their aim is for you to luxuriate in the beautiful setting – to immerse yourself in relaxation and just for a little while – totally focus on only you…
