I've been to Marigold Cafe 2 days in a row this week while working in the area. Nothing short of praise for this cafe. Food was awesome, very reasonably priced, and genuine friendly service. Seafood chowder was wonderful. Coffee was outstanding. I would rate this cafe possibility the best I have been to in NZ. Highly recommended.

Kiwi simplicity at it's absolute best, great Coffee, lovely food, friendly happy staff, was fuller than it looks in the pic's, and when I ordered breaky, staff member told me there would be a LONG wait of 20mins, not long mate just good service. Stopped for lunch on the way home from Gisborne. While the food and coffee were great, the length of time we had to wait for toasted sandwiches to be made and delivered to our table was a tad slow, for a cafe that did not appear that busy. I would still go back.
