Wonderful getaway camping kept simple with the luxury of a hot shower at only $1 for 4 minutes. So nice to have the option of a fire. Small store on site if you've forgotten a necessity. Steep stoney beach. We'll be back.
Spent only one night there and keen to come back with the boat. Beautiful rocky beach, friendly receptionist.
Excellent camp site with lots to do and new 4G service but manager is extremely rude even to Willie Apiata himself just because he brought his horses a couple of metres into the campsite to have a chat with us. The manager had no idea who he was talking to and I can't decide whether I like this place or not now.
Perhaps one of the best campsites in North Island. I love the fact we could lit bonfire

Love this place. Basic kiwi camping at it's best.
Beautiful bay for camping, great shower and toilet facilities and friendly management, fishing was great! Easy 10 minute drive to Waihau Bay for supplies, cafe and pub. Note no cell range.
Stunning spot, basic facilities but a small trade off for a magnificent beach
