We spent a couple of nights while hiking around the area during the day. The bed was very comfortable, the unit would stay warm throughout the night and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking a little meal. Nice hot shower too, and we found everything clean. I would recommend this place.
Picked Maple Lodge because it was close to Hobbiton Movie Set that's why it's ideal for me.nnDue to delayed flight, I couldn't check in before 6pm and couldn't miss my Hobbiton event. So I called Maple Lodge and Hannah was so kind and helpful, she worked with me for a late arrival. 5 stars service. Thank you!nnFor the room. To be fair, I was there for less than 12 hours including sleep. Only things I had used was kettle that worked. Shower with good water pressure and a bed that felt clean and comfy. I couldn't find the hair dryer but didn't bother to ask.nnIt's a place for a quick stop and that's exactly what I needed.
Awesome staff, very accommodating.nGreat place to relax as it was quiet. Close to town for food and shopping.
Great location, easily walking distance to the town centre. Very quiet and clean. Sadly a little tired.
The most welcoming manager and lovely place to stay. I have tried the other motels in Matamata and on top of being the lowest price this motel has my vote
