I highly recommend any year 13 students who are looking at a university to study , to apply here ! So easy to apply ! & provides the best skills & qualifications possible . BEST PART ABOUT HERE IS THE FREE PARKING ! For students : I know it’s a-bit nerve racking leaving high school & starting a new university , however here at Manukau institute of technology the staff & people make you feel at home & ensure you fit in . I’ve met some of the staff Oli and another guy didn’t get his name though , but they were easy to approach for help , cracked a few jokes that made my day & asked me “ how my day was going” which I appreciate . They had such a beautiful & bright personality . not only are the staff polite & kind but students here who currently study are always willing to help you navigate your way around so if your loss don’t be afraid to ask : • Application process is so easy !! • Requirements are easy to meet ! You can also book a FREE TOUR ! and have a look at the place & what classes you’ll be taught in , what they offer , they have a nice restaurant which the tour guide told me the restaurant are for students ! & there families , they also have suitable & nice areas for individual or peers to study , they have an up stairs library, they also have there own food area where you can buy food & drinks and find a table to eat & study . There is so much !! they have a hair cut area ! For students who want to get a hair cut or ladies who want to get there hair done at a cheap price , they have so many cool things for students who apply here , they give you a tour on where everything is good too book a tour if you are going to apply here especially if your new : so you’ll get familiar with the area before starting But don’t worry ! It’s only a small area once your familiar with it , you’ll find your way around . If your loss or need extra help there is a huge support team & help center located near the library / food area . That can help you around or with anything you’re struggling with . Pooja was one of the manukau institute of technology staff members who helped me in year 13 with my application for the following year. Pooja was very helpful & patient with me . Every -time I met the requirements for my application she would notify me & let me know where to next or what else I needed to hand in . In order to process my application. She would either notify me by phone or by email , sometimes people don’t understand when you send them requirements or just a “link “ of where they can find information to there question , so it was great for her to ring me and further explain. She was very helpful . Whenever I emailed her , I didn’t have to wait long for a reply. I always emailed her a lot of questions because I was quiet confused on a lot of things & she always replied back to me on time. She answered all my questions no matter how many emails I sent in one day or one week she’d always respond . She was also patient with me when I was trying to get my identification &. Results from NZQA to further process my application . I know my email spams must’ve been annoying but thank you Pooja for bearing with me . It was quick & easy to apply .Pooja I am thankful for your help ! You have provided such a great service to me & I would definitely recommend you to anyone else needing application support or help. Also oli the tour guide I believe she’s Tongan or Samoan idk sorry but you also provided a great tour ! & had such a bubbly / kind personality .Thank you Oli & Pooja & the other man who I didn’t quiet get his name : but thank you Manukau institute of technology!! I would highly recommend applying here !
I've sent continuous emails and calls to the institute concerning my withdrawal and refunding of fees but I have had little to no response. I withdrew in September and it is now February. Also received absolutely no support with my enrolment and they are near impossible to get a hold of and on the rare occasion that I do get a hold of reception they never know how to assist me.
Great polytechnic. Most of The lecturers and the mentors are good and helpful, like the down earth environment here. Students can be little unkind and obnoxious to each other at times but didn’t bothered me as I was there for my own Learning and studies ! Hence Full stars :
I love Manukau Institute of Technology. Finally I managed to complete my Certificate in Logistics. The Lectures were really amazing. The professors really helpful and approachable, and I have learned so much that I am ready to step up in the industry with so much confidence. Thank you MIT...I really love you
Great straight forward signage, attentive staff in the enrolment/student services department. Very helpful, pleasant and thorough with my and others' enquiries. Nice campus.
