Manukau event centre is Auckland's premiere cultural wedding venue, with a seated capacity of 500. .
Located in the heart of Manukau city, MEC caters for all events. This is a right place to host corporate functions, weddings, school balls and much more. This is one of the best wedding reception venues in Auckland.

"We are a wedding and birthday venue that seats 100 to 300 guests. We have helped over 750 couples and families put together and host some of the most important and memorable days of their lives. We are passionate about events and love being part of our customers special day and special moments.We look at each customer and event as unique and try to create the best possible outcome for that customer. Our motto is 'We treat your event, like ours'. What that actually means is, when you trust us with your function, we take it on board and make decisions exactly the same as if we were doing own function.We prefer to hear from our customers what their individual needs are and will work with them side by side to ensure a happy ending for all."

We had a Christmas do here last week and highly recommend this venue. The packages are super competitive but more importantly the venue is spacious, beautiful and ultra clean. Also well air-conditioned, not like other places. Everything was well organized and done on time. Well done and keep up the good work we will surely be back next year.

We booked our function from Australia and Manukau Event Centre took care of everything for us, they were very easy to deal with compared to others and made things very stress free for us. The food and service was 10/10. Thanks again.

My husband and I could not have picked a better place to have our wedding reception! We had the best wedding reception ever and we can’t thank the Manukau Event Centre enough for all of their help along the way! Ari and all of the staff there were amazing and super helpful with everything. Ari was very responsive through email and phone calls for my many questions, she made the venue available for us on multiple occasions to visit as part of the planning process and she knew exactly what to do, when, and how to do it. They made the process, and the day itself, run like a well oiled machine. On the day of, they had already set up our decorations many hours in advance, exactly as we had asked for them to be arranged, and they ran everything on time and smoothly, so that we could enjoy the day. The venue was gorgeous, the guests loved the food big portions, and tasty!, and everyone was helpful. I can’t recommend it highly enough! We absolutely love it there and are so thankful to Manukau Event Centre who made our wedding reception day extra special!!!“

Attended a wedding a week ago disgusting toilets. Throughout the entire wedding reception these toilets were getting worst everytime I walked in where I ended up driving home to use the toilets. So advice is Go use the BP toilets they're cleaner. Urine all over x2 toilet floors. Approached staff and They didn't seem to care. And I have noticed they are quite rude in Their replies with the Google reviews. They don't take honest feedback that well. So actually take back what I thought of their service. Disgusting behaviour online to go with their disgusting toilets.  The pile of tissue was built up throughout the night and always checked to see was clean yet to take my toddler and never was attended to so ended up taking her home. Not good for the elderly or Toddlers very unhygienic and for the respect of our vulnerable Do consider paying more attention to your toilet cleaning schedules.

After coming a few times over the years I have to say the new buffet is the best. The roast pork, chicken breast, raw fish and chop suey is the best I have ever had. Look forward to coming back again.

Won’t even bother writing about my experience because it doesn’t even look like they acknowledge any constructive criticism. Just beware that talk can be sweet when you go to view but once your payment has gone through for your event, you’re just another number to get over and done with and they don’t always follow through with their word. I don’t recommend. Better to go elsewhere.

Attended a wedding couple of weeks ago, venue was super clean and looked amazing, staff were very polite. Guy at the bar was really nice.

This place is a dream come true.  The reception for our wedding was amazing! From the planning with the management and staff, to the night of celebration for our marriage, this place just made our wedding night, one to remember. We attended the wedding of one of my friend. The venue is just awesome, spacious and can accommodate more than 150 people at a time. The food was awesome and so is the service. Limited car park in the area and most of it is off road, this is the only downside of this place.
