Great place to stay, I stayed with my family. 2 boys, youngest is 2 and the eldest is 6 and the wife. We had a great time, the kitchen had everything needed, the tv/games room was great and the host were fantastic. Such nice and friendly people. Very helpful with any questions asked. Also super clean, we will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends.
We called and told them we were running a bit late. They stayed open for us and then did the full tour with explanation on communal facilities. Very friendly and upfront. I really appreciated it.nnGreat communal kitchen area and lounge with activity tables.nnShowers were separate, clean and plenty of hot water.nnBathrooms were spotless. The whole place was spotless.nnRoom was clean and comfortable with good linens and comfortable bed.nnI really feel like they take alot of pride in this place and pour in effort.nnI recommend this place. Location is also perfect.
Accomodation is ok for a short stay.nThe kitchen is a little small but good equipped. Unfortunatly no free tea or coffee. Bathrooms are good and all facilities are clean.nnThere are no keys for the rooms or lockers. The rooms have thin walls, I could hear someone snorring from the next room. The matress is comfortable, but the pillow is bad. You have to make your own bed. You can do your laundry, but there are no cloth lines. Although there is space in the surrounding garden.nnThe owners seemed friendly, but it felt a bit fake. They are controlling and I felt not very welcomed. The landlady came in the dorm without asking at 9 am to remember the check-out time at 10 am. Sorry but that is a no-go.nThe common room is big with a TV and table tennis. But there is no remote control to change the programm or the volume of TV/Radio. It is a bit distracting if people playing table tennis and you want to watch something. Overall it feels cold, not comfy.nnThere is no option to store your luggage or stay a few hours in the common areas after check-out. Especially luggage storage should be standard, it was possible in every other hostels I stayed in the last couple of month.
Trecy and Thomas are lovely hosts and proud owners. They’ll make everything in their power to make your stay as welcoming as possible. For me, they sure did. Clean facilities, plenty of showers and great relaxing lounge. The only inconvenient for me would be the limited Wi-fi, but it was still good connection.
I was in this beautiful place for a while and I feel like I had a second home. The lodge is really beautiful, clean and simply a place where you like to stay. Everything is so tidy and everyone is trying to be quiet and respectful to each other.nNational Park is a very nice little village, but it actually has everything you need. You can of course do the beautiful Tongariro Crossing in the area, but also many other hikes in this very special volcanic area. I can highly recommend to come to the beautiful Lodge. Thank you so mutch for this wonderful time!
