One of my favourite dog parks Quite a few different paths to take with a few uphill parts. Different scenery all throughout & the doggo absolutely loves it! Private & beautiful
Excellent dog walking park in Dannevirke; parking and easy entry/exit for large vehicles incl. caravans opposite the Mangatera Hotel. Starts with a leafy grove offering grass and shade, plus a few seats here and there. Tracks lead off the grove into the adjacent forest. We spent approx. 1hr walking through the various tracks - looks like it used to be a former BMX park - and the area seems to be fully fenced. Includes a section beside the river where kids could swim and family have picnics, in a stand of majestic sequoia/redwood or Rimu? trees. Dog poo bags and bins available at start and end of walk.
This is an amazing place with miles of tracks for walking the dogs through a variety of environments: native bush, swamp, and shady forest.
I wanted to explore further, but the dogs had a lovely run around
