Myself and partner Billy Bourne had the best 1st experience ever. Days after having our mirimiri we were noticing our asthma/breathing was alot better when I was out for my 5km run I wasn't getting a snotty nose like I normally do and I was breathing so much easier my feet weren't so clunky and our heads just felt so much clearer. Couldn't really understand how a mirimiri could have such an impact on our daily lives.. I have 5 children all boys and I was so used to the way my body was that I had no clue anything was effecting my entire days. So greatful we got the opportunity handed to us by Ngati Rangi Ohakune and So so greatful to Jolie Davis for working on me little did I know I had the big boss Thank you again we will make it down 1 day. Maybe September 2025
Awesome workshop I’m so glad I did it. I learned so much and had some personal breakthroughs. Self realisation. I’m very greatful to Jolie and the team, thank you for everything. I’m also greatful for the others attending the wananga. Many gems were shared from like minded people. There’s a lot of learning and growth before you get to the table. A week on I feel like the work we did is still very present. My sleep is more restorative, dreams feel like I’m purging what needs to get out. I’d recommend this to anyone interested in Hauora Māori, personal growth and wellness.

Two day Wananga left me feeling both grounded and uplifted. The experience was calm, yet deeply energising-a rare balance that made space for reflection, learning, and connection. What stood out most was the sense of whanaungatanga. Surrounded by like minded people, there was a shared warmth and openness that made the wanaga feel genuinely safe and supportive. Everyone brought their full selves, and in doing so, lifted each other. Spiritually, the Wananga offered moments of real depth and insight- in a gentle affirming way. I left feeling connected to myself, to others, and to a bigger sense of purpose. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of being in the right space, at the right time.
