We went for late lunch after enjoying Manapouri circle track. Starting from homemade cookies, fish &chips and burger was good. Staffs are friendly. Some people commented negatively but remember, that Manapouri is a small remote country town, not sophisticated place, I like this kind of warm country style.
Great food and awesome location for the lakeside views. 4/5 just because their mac & cheese serving size in their kids menu was not enough for kids. Had to order twice.
The seafood chowder had a very good consistency, but wasn't very tasty. Some more spices would help... The halloumi cheese was delicious. The pork ribs were nor that crispy, and the meat quite dry.... But my steak was excellent!!! Cooked perfectly, soft and tasty. Friedly stuff, nice wines.
We made such a great choice by stopping by and eating here! First off, the views are absolutely stunning. From most seats in the place you get a waterfront and mountain range vista, the best possible backdrop to your meal. Secondly, the food is delightful! I had the fish & chips and genuinely enjoyed every aspect of my plate to the full. The rest of our group had the three cheese ravioli scrumptious sauce and the Manapouri beef burger a personal favorite. And of course, the staff served us with such charm and kindness. A+ to the entire experience. The entrance we used was wheelchair inaccessible, but there was accessible outdoor seating.
Very friendly staff, great food and they even have sasparella! Yum!, great view of the lake, excellent toy selection for kids to keep them entertained while mum and dad sneak off for a cheeky beverage juke box available for use in the bar area, private function room available for hire, overall a great place to stop in to have a rest from the road. Oh and awesome ceiling fans made to look like helicopters!
Big portions and amazing views, but the chicken was not free range which was disappointing. Also they do not recycle- as seen in my pic, all their rubbish goes into the same bin! We are in 2020, and this is truly horrifying.
Great venue and beautiful views. Don't get the pizza. We paid $22 for a margarita that looked like it was a budget frozen pizza. Also, beers seemed overpricedFood: 2/5
Amazing views, world-class food, and some of the friendliest workers you could hope to meet.
We went here based on the good reviews on google. The only good thing about this place is the lake view. We stopped here for lunch and ordered a pizza which we could make was one of those frozen pizzas and not even warmed properly, 12 ounce Coke glass was without fizz and to top it all highly priced considering it's isn't cooked fresh.
Good food, a wonderful view and a Italian chef. What's not to like?
