The Makino Aquatic Centre - Where the Water's FUN, for EVERYONE!

Visit Friendly Feilding for all your water needs.

The Makino is home to heated indoor 25m and learners pools that operate year round.
In the summer months (December - March) the Makino opens its Heated outdoor 50m, learners, and dive pools. Plus there's a fresh water toddlers splash pool.

Enrol your children in lessons with the Makino Swim School and once they've mastered that, train for competitions with the Makino Swim Squad's Elite Squad.
We start babies classes from 6 months and even do one-on-one classes with adults. So it's never to late to learn to swim!

Join an Aqua Fitness class. They run every weekday at 9:30am and Tue/Thu night at 6:00pm.
Plus there's Water Walking (a completely bounce free class for those who may be in recovery or need less impact on their joints) every Tue/Thu at 10:30am.

Host your child's Birthday Party at the Makino. We have catered options, plus the best part is - we tidy up!

Canoe Polo is a super competitive sport. For the last 3 years the Makino has hosted the Secondary Schools National Canoe Polo Championships.
Come on down on a Friday night from 6:00pm for a game.

Inflatable Sundays - throughout the winter season the Makino puts an inflatable up on the water every Sunday from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm for only $1 extra.

We can cater to any groups needs, kayaking sessions, rafting, water safety, etc.

Very helpful and supportive staff. A great smiling reception. What an amazing set up facility :
Nice swimming complex they have indoor and outdoor pools. The have a swimming lesson pool that is separate from the main pool. Great for the whole family, toddlers included. All they need is a spa pool area for the grown ups.
Decent pool complex and pretty cheap, would recommend during summer the most as the price is the same the whole year round!
I go here for a shower as I live on the road, the shower timer plug was only allowing 3 seconds of water through at a time, still managed to have a good shower. The shower stall walls were a little grimey but you could see where an attempt to clean the walls had been made, otherwise a nice clean space and great facility, the desk staff were friendly
It's the second time I've driven in from out of town to have a swim and they refused me entry as it was booked. A council public pool so fully booked on a Saturday that kids can't swim. Sucks. Public pools should be public at all times.
I loved the experience swimming here. The rooms and pool areas were clean. The ladies out front were nice and friendly too. And the lifeguards were helpful. The teachers are fun and love what they do. Loved the experience. Plus I thought they had great prices too.
