Makara Community Hall

Absolutely perfect wedding venue and very accomodating. They have everything you need from tables and chairs to a large commercial kitchen. We celebrated and awesome day there for our wedding and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for the remote feel but close to town.

My partner and I had our wedding here. Of all the venues we spoke to, Judith from Mākara Community Hall was the most responsive and helpful – even though she is a volunteer! The venue is in a stunning location, with lovely hardwood floors inside. It's awesome for a small-ish DIY wedding. Our day went perfectly. It was also a welcome surprise that the horses were out in the field next door, so guests got to pat them. Dreamy!

Awesome venue! In an beautiful part of our country! Everything sorted from a great kitchen to a great sized hall and tidy toilets etc . Wheel chair access and ample parking.

Great place for a Wedding Reception. Plenty of parking. Good facilities. Easy access. Long access road. Make sure you turn correct way to hall easy to get it wrong. Lots of grass outside for children to play. Photo night wedding reception in April 2019
