Story

ABOUT US:

Mahurangi Marine Ltd was established in 1996 and has developed into a well-reputed Fyran / Honda / Yanmar dealership as well as servicing all brands of boat motors.

Although Mahurangi Marine Ltd has always provided a mobile service, 2009 saw the purchase of a vehicle especially set up to further facilitate this aspect of the business for our customers and our serviceman alike.

Wayne Adkins is an A Grade mechanic and since the purchase of Mahurangi Marine Ltd has completed many Courses specialising in servicing Marine Engines and Electronics. Wayne has developed a wealth of knowledge in sales, service and his love of boating means he can usually answer those curly questions that boaties love to pose.

Mak is in the workshop as a Trainee learning the ropes of Marine Service & Repair work and in time will specialise in the diesel service aspect of the business.

We are fortunate to draw on the life-long engineering / mechanical skills and services of Paul Stichbury who is now semi-retired. For many years Paul owned and operated his own business in HB before seeing the light (and better fishing) thus moving to Rodney.

Recently Lee returned, on a part-time basis, to assist Wayne with the office/accounting aspect of the business. As our regulars know, Lee has been instrumental in assisting Wayne with the development of Mahurangi Marine from inception.

We are proud to announce the addition of Snells Boat Hire in November 2010 to our services offered. We have a Fyran 560 powered by a fuel-efficient Honda 75hp motor available for either day hire or for longer as required (refer hire boat details)

Mahurangi Marine Ltd has a selection of used boats and outboards although these are subject to availability.

We are also stockists of various Electronic Systems, and other Chandlery items including life-jackets, safety equipment, anchors & chain and a small range of fishing tackle including soft-baits.
