We welcome you to visit us daily for an array of treats from the cabinet, shop our retail wall, grab a coffee and relax around our family style table

Story

The team at Magnolia Kitchen are passionate about all things baking related… from baking accessories and tools to flavour combinations, all things vintage and vintage inspired, and of course decorating our yummy treats to suit any occasion.

Everything you see on our menu has been tried, tested and made from scratch using only the best ingredients available.
“pre-mix” and “store bought” are dirty words in the Magnolia Kitchen kitchen

All our cakes & cupcakes are available in a range of designs starting from simple iced up to the most extravagant custom design.

Magnolia Kitchens pricelists are basic and will only specify “starting from” prices as most of our work is custom designed for each customer and prices will vary depending on the degree of detail, design and time required

Best donut I've ever had so light fluffy and flavourful definitely worth the 40 minute drive across Auckland to visit 10/10 will be back
Great place for coffee or a lunch. If you want one of their famous donuts you better get your hands on them before 12 or the locals will have eaten even the crumbs. They do takeaway coffee etc. Very French cafe decor with lots of interesting things to look at while you're enjoying the food. They have an adjoining florist come gift shop so you can buy something for a gift for yourself or even for someone else. Order your special celebration cakes here too for any wedding or significant birthday etc. The samples they have, look great. Easy parking directly outside or close.
The sweet baked goods are absolutely scrummy. I had the caramel pecan brioche and I can't wait to go back to try other treats. Coffee was also tasty. My only downside is that everything is served on single use/takeaway plates and cups. These are paper/compostable, but still something that will end up in a landfill, plus I like to enjoy my coffee in a real cup... so next time I'll bring my reusable :
Food portion sizes are good, nice variety of doughnuts, slices and macaroons. Customer service is also good. I expected the white chocolate raspberry cake to have a bit more flavour though, and to be a bit sweeter. Still worth coming back to.
Vegan GF brioche was amazing. Coffee was even better!! Friendly service and plenty of room to relax.
Such a shame - cafe has closed and has gone to an online model. You can still get take away coffee and pre-order the sweet treats, but it's no longer a cafe as such.
Sad that things have changed, can someone tell me how you order on the new system? Allergy friendly goods are always sold out online? There’s no email to contact … odd way to do business. Maybe someone can reply…
Great coffee, nice environment but two stars off for consistently cold customer service. Real shame as if they cheered up it’d be five stars.

Nothing tasted fresh today. Cake is usually good, got the lemon curd one today very dry and stale tasting, choux wasn't like it usually is either. The Raspberry Lamington was delish however. Staff are friendly enough.
