My name is Mae and I love shoes!
I moved to New Zealand from Thailand 15 years ago, and I’m now happily settled on Auckland’s North Shore with my family.
My biggest passions in life are Thai cooking, clothes and of course shoes!
After working for several years in an Auckland shoe boutique, I successfully completed a shoe design & manufacturing course so I could fulfil my dream of launching MAE Handmade Leather Shoes.
I design and pattern cut each shoe in my studio using a range of leathers I have personally sourced in Thailand. My Thai cobbler in Bangkok follows these designs, manufactures each shoe by hand, and then sends them back to me in New Zealand.
After many months of improving my designs, types of leather and cobbler skills - I am now proud to offer a range of ladies and kids fashion shoes as shown in my collection. The range is growing all the time, so please return regularly to this website to see the latest shoes.
