Second day stay in Christchurch, we come here for lunch with family. Authentic Yum Cha food and valuable portions, you can’t beat their taste and price. I also believe meat-lover will love it. $5-7 per portion is impossible to get in Wellington. I mean “No way!” Thank you for the excellent food and nice place.
Good restaurant just almost 5 Star. The foods looks good on the traditional Tom Sum trolley. Maybe is not busy enough some of the pastry seems a bit dry after leaving out for too long. The service is good and staffs are helpful. We also ordered some order to cook dish, seems much better. Overall I think it is a great atmosphere Chinese restaurant, just need some small improvement to make it great again. When this restaurant first open many years ago it was so busy.
Pretty disappointed. Group of us 4 ordered to share and one meal came out so late we had given up on it. The lamb fried with cumin was just that. So dry we asked for some sauce. Staff were nice but some of the food wasn’t very good at all - tasted dry and tough chicken and pork
One of the best places for Yum Cha in Christchurch. Reasonable price and good service. The place is big so we didn't wait Too long for tables. Location is good. Open hours is perfect.
Dishes was normal. Worst is the fried chicken which was dry and not tasty. Service wise no challenging experience. Restaurant is big and spacious.Food: 3/5
I believe this is the best Chinese restaurant in Christchurch. I came here all the time when I visited Christchurch. My family and I really enjoyed the red bean bun, phoenix feet, fried kuey diao and prawn dumpling during yum cha. The evening meal was fantastic too. We enjoy the freshness of the vegetable dishes, lobster with noodles and meat are well cook. Good job.
Do not come!!! The service was fine at the start but when they messed up our orders, they blamed us for not ordering properly and refused to change the food. Once our food arrived it was burnt asked the staff to replace it and once replaced it was under cooked. The quality was poor from the beginning and now the quantity is also cut down to half… Such poor customer service and unfriendly staff.
Bought dim sum takeaway, returned home to find that the siumai were undercooked, but not before I'd already taken a few bites with a weird texture. Called for a refund, the staff member took down my details and said that they will talk to their manager. Unfortunately, no call was returned, nor a refund rendered. Avoid for health and safety risks and poor service.
Just come back after fews years move out of Christchurch, the taste of the food changed, not realy nice like before. the service quite slow.Food: 4/5
I have been this restaurant couple times, also ordered DoorDash many times, there is a waitress Lily, I’ve never seen a people has that bad attitude, also every time I call for takeaway, she hang up the phone straight away when I was still talking, I don’t know why she’s still working there, the food is pretty good, but with that kind of employee, I would like to say good luck to the owner, thank u. Also if it’s okay could u give me the timetable of lily so I can come enjoy the food without seeing her
