Great interior with alternative vibe all over. I just popped in for a quick cold drink, and loved every minute of it. What a little gem!
The 4 stars are solely for the food! Surprisingly delicious. The decor is not my cup of tea and made me hesitant about staying. That and the fact that it was empty with only two other customers sitting outside. Nevertheless, Collingwood is tiny and we could see most visitors across the road on buses ready to depart on the Farewell Spit tours. So we stayed as we were hungry! Glad we did, really enjoyed our meals
Very unique place! Everyone is welcome but not everyone will appreciate the very special style. If you like places with a really funky DIY vibe, don't miss it! It's worth checking out at very least for the one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, including a blacklight art room. Food options were pretty limited both times I visited but the coffee and home brew "kombutcha" were good and the courtyard is a nice chill place to soak up the Golden Bay vibes.
Just popped in for a spontaneous dinner last Friday. Had the most delicious laksa. The food was generally very fresh, healthy and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. Amazing art all made by the owner of the café and music I think on Friday nights. Would definitely recommend if you're in or around Collingwood!
After a couple of rainy days, we stopped in the lovely MAD Cafe and spend pretty much the entire Sunday there. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner , plenty of hot drinks and beautiful conversations filled our day with joy. Highly recommend if u looking for food made with love and you wanna escape from the madness out in the world Thank you so much
Ordered fish and chips takaway the fish a bit small and the batter is soggy but really tender, and the 1/2 scoop chips was quite a lot and good. Bonus part is the art and decorations of the restaurant is top experience

Awesome laksa, and take my recommendation for I am an Singaporean. This laksa may not be identical to the one I have back at home, but it was amazing in its own ways. Will recommend and return for this bowl of amazing laksa. Not only is Chris' laksa luscious, the pancakes and fish 'n' chips were great as well. If you are looking for something mouth watering, date-worthy and healthy, this is the place to go.
Coffee was very average. Interesting talk with owner.Food: 2/5
