Came by for some takeaway. The owners let us know that there was a large group coming in and to order soon which was helpful. We ordered a couple of the burgers, some fish and chips, and a curry roll. The interesting thing about this place is that the cafe does have a few tables for dining and it also has a convenience store, post shop and information about things in the area like accommodation and activities. The seats in the information area are also quite comfortable for waiting on. The food was alright. The curly fries were nice and so were the burgers. I didn't like the curry roll. It was a mixed bag but it was a nice place for some takeaways.
Loved the food, great amazing 'o' for Orsum service. We were nicely welcomed and upon leaving we got the best sendoff. Food is a Def 10 star from my partner & I. Thankyou for the great vibe
It is a hidden gem. I wish I know it earlier, national park food are generally for tourists.. Macroarpa price is just like your local cafe price.. Great food and service too. Nothing too fancy, but just want to have a meal after a tired day. Awesome. Good thick shake too.
A good place for coffee and a snack, or even a full meal. The steak was a bit fatty but delicious. There are old pictures of the railway being built and a nice cozy area for kids to play.
Not what we expected We order chicken pizza for dinner and it was so bad. The pizza is really burn. I know it's wood fire pizza, but as a professional, should know how to avoid burn food. It's not worth with the price. Me and husband was a bit disappointed. The only thing amazes me is the vintage stuff in the cafe.

Great lunch yesterday. Arrived quite late after walking the Taranaki Falls track. Excellent welcoming service. Freshly squeezed orange juice yum.
Ordered Flat white and Big breaky, Flat white wasn't full and extremly flat so when they served it was all over the plate. For big breaky, pouched egg was ok but everything else was either uncooked or still frozen. but it's the only cafe that opens 6 in the morning so you have anywhere else to go
they have the best gourmet burger and vegan slice. the place is nice and cozy. the staff were nice and friendly. highly recommended
New Owners have taken over. They have revamped the place so it looking good. The fresh orange is amazing. You should try it. Check it out at night time as they have extended there closing hours to 8pm.
