Great sight to visit, on this occasion there was plenty of parking as there was only 1 other group visiting. Sun was out so able to get some amazing shots of the Time Ball and surrounding area.

Lovely view from here.nGet to read the history.nnFYI: Driving up maybe a quick missed if you do not turn ahead of time. We had to loop around the corner.nnRecommend: the moment you drive up the slope, park on the right. You are 10m walk to the entrance. Do not hesitate like us, ended up going in circles.
Really interesting historical site with fabulous views back over the harbour and surrounds.nnSite was damaged by the earthquake but had been wonderfully restored with plenty of information placards about the history of the site.nnBut for this one, honestly it’s the view which is worth the hike up the mountain for.nnFabulous spot!!!
Really interesting history! Only the tower had been rebuilt when we visited in 2023, but still impressive. A bit tricky to get to, as no clearly marked parking options. We parked just off the road corner close to the walkway up to the station.
