With over 8 years experience and a custom built salon, owner-operator Heidi Holmes has worked in the pet grooming industry in salons from Melbourne to Brisbane and is now here in Wellington to deliver an exceptional standard in grooming for your pet.

Located in the heart of Miramar next door to Cafe Polo, Lush Puppies offers a complete grooming service for all breeds of dogs and cats, using all natural shampoos in a safe and non-threatening environment. Lush puppies also offer doggie day-care with secure indoor and outdoor facilities.

Daylight robbery I took my standard labradoodle here 5 weeks ago and wanted to keep her coat long. Lush puppies took on the challenge and got her nice and fluffy. The next day she began to limp and wanted to lick her chest area but couldn’t reach. By the evening she refused to get up and it was a trip to the emergency vets. She had wounds all throughout her chest. I blamed myself as I had said okay to brushing her mattes out, not knowing that it would wound her. Her next grooming session came around and I told Lush puppies about her last experience. They said the wounds were caused from their tools there was no denying that. I said okay well lets not do that again, just shave her. They told me to pick her up at 1:30, then they rang and said no 2pm, I said okay.. as I was on my way and they rang again to say they still haven’t done her head.. I said no problem I’ll just wait outside till 2:15 pm. Lush Puppies then had the audacity to say they had been working on her for 6 hours straight and charged me $320…. If they were working on my dog for 6 hours straight how on earth did they manage groom her head in 15 minutes? How did they also groom 15 other dogs? Its not even a nice groom its rushed… I had to it up as I got home still hair hanging over her eyes. They sent my dog to the emergency room 5 weeks ago.. and today they shaved my dog for $320? Yep, daylight robbery.
Workers at Lush puppies are the best! Always look after my fur baby very well and do a great job grooming him. He thoroughly enjoys going. Happily and definitely recommend lush puppies
Heidi and the team are amazing. Our fur baby Nyla loves it there and goes for occasional daycare and grooms. Have total trust in all the staff who treat her like their own. Great value for money!!
I had an EXCELLENT experience at Lush Puppies. Heidi and the staff are really friendly and they really know their stuff : My dog's fur was very matted but the girls managed to groom him beautifully without even having to shave it off. You will not be disappointed with their service!
Four words....they are the best!! Plus humour and kindness along our wee dogs journey was so appreciated . A big huge thanks from us and a woof from Issy too. RIP Issy 26/11/05 -18/02/20
The team at Lush Puppies do such a lovely job of grooming Mo; they listen to what we want and take really good care of him. Book ahead - they are deservedly busy!
