Story

Hi I'm Nin. I live in the Selwyn District of Canterbury, New Zealand with my family.

I started making these lunch things because I couldn't find anywhere local to buy them.

My daughter's school has a zero waste policy on landfill rubbish - there are no general waste (landfill) bins at all. This means all the packaging surrounding her lunches comes home in her lunchbox.

The amount of waste - particularly cling wrap was a little confronting! So I researched and found a liner fabric that is safe - has no harmful chemicals but is waterproof and washable, and best of all its DURABLE - this liner has been tested to beyond 300 hot washes. Now I don't intend that you will hot wash your wrappers every day (do so, if that's what you need to do - but it really only needs a quick wipe with a clean cloth).

So happy we stopped here. Delicious food, really friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere in the bar. Rooms are basic but clean, comfy and airconned. Definitely worth the stop for us weary travellers. Thank you.

Great country pub. Menu isn't huge but it is good food. The staff are friendly and keen to help and the place was clean and very COVID compliant.
All good. Good room, friendly staff. Good menu and meals hot delicious yummy. No complaints at all.
