By far the BEST chicken sandwich in wellington. Me and my friends eat here 2 or 3 times at week. I'm from the States and I thought Chick-fil-A was great until I tried lucky's, definitely my to go place every time. In the picture -my favorite- the Jackpot with gravy fries, if you like cheese this one is for you.

Normally absolutely amazing, but have fallen off in recent times. Buns have been stale and burger often cold... not much fun However, when you get a good Lucky, its very very good arguably the best fried chicken burger in Wellington Chicken is always cooked perfectly, and the sauce is something you'd order on death row. 10/10 when they get it right
Overpriced, more the NZ governments fault than Lucky's. The chips and gravy are particularly good, but a much better Chicken experience can be had at Soul Shack. Lucky is consistent though and you won't get food poisoning.Food: 3/5
Had many times as we were staying in the hotel nearby. Delicious each time. The spices in the coating of the chicken was very unique and separates itself from other fired chicken places. The special sauce is so good, I prefer getting it on the side of the poppers so you can dip it after every bite. The bomber burger is pretty much perfect with fluffy brioche buns. My only gripe is perhaps the gravy. It's not meat gravy and is a little strange when comparing it to a real gravy. As a sauce though it's quite delicious and sticks to the crinkle cut fries really well.
So Delicious Burgers that we returned 3 times on a short weekend trip to Wellington!
I ordered four different times and got the wrong order the four times. For example, instead of getting double poppers and fries, they gave me double fries and poppers. They charged me double poppers and fries though. It was a quiet time and I was their only customer then. I only realised that I got the wrong order again when I got home. Posting here so your management notices and hopefully does something about it.
Took away an early lunch from here today and although we’ve been following these guys on Instagram for ages, this is the first time we’ve tried it and it definitely exceeded expectations! Best fries we’ve had in ages! And delicious popcorn chicken and chicken burger!!!
Had the poppers chicken "popcorn" & gravy fries and it was a disappointment. It was the sauce who ruined the experience, both on the chicken and the fries. The chicken had an overpowering chipotle sauce and the gravy on the fries was just a syrup. Very meh.
Some of the best takeout you can find in Wellington. Burgers are amazing and the chips with gravy are the dream
