Happy Birthday Sailability is 21!!nLovely view over the marina at dusknnOne of the new boats!nHull designed by Kevin Cudby
Nice club room, but very cold, due to lack of sunlight coming in.
We chose Seaview Marina for our Farr 6000 trailer-sailer because it had secure boatparks, excellent ramps, not far from Ngaio and reasonable rates. Very happy so far, and finding the marina chandlers handy, well stocked and helpful for those little bits and pieces of stainless steel...nnIt was a no-brainer to join the Club - they offer 3 months free membership to new Marina boatees. We found them a very friendly, helpful and active club, proud of their very nice clubrooms in a great position with lovely marina/harbour views. Bar opens 3 days/week, Friday evening is club night with full meals available - excellent steak, roasts plus another choice on menu - and often live music from club members.nnWe mainly cruise the club's six new mooring buoys in Wellington harbour were a bonus, but have started racing in their not so serious cruising division the other divisions are hard core racers. Finding it fun, made easy by the club finding us experienced crew for the first time or two. Looking forward to watching Nov 5th fireworks from the water, other summer social raft-ups and sitting outside on the deck.nnOur 3 months free are about up; we'll stay - it helps that LYBC annual membership fee is very reasonable, another reason why membership is growing. As well as racing and cruising yachts, they also have motor boating and live-aboard members.nnFrom our experience, you'll get a warm welcome if you drop in to the bar on a Friday evening and ask anyone there about the Club.
