This place is awesome if you’re keen to share some plates with a big group in a fun atmosphere. The plastic chairs and tablecloth, paper dragon and bright colours just add to the experience. Everything we had was delicious and so full of flavour, the ribs and chicken were my favourites though. Someone in the reviews said they didn’t like “2016 pop” playlist but I was so there for it - it’s called character! I would say skip the cocktail bucket though because it didn’t quite pack an alcohol punch more of a sugar rush so I felt there wasn’t value for money there. Maybe a spirit or two added to the recipe might be an idea? Lovely service, can’t wait to go back.
Thai curry was spicy and quite good, although I expected the portion size to be bigger. The vegan dumplings were lukewarm and a big doughy, and the chicken nibbles were quite dry on the inside. It felt like an inauthentic selection of random popular asian dishes, which is good if you don't like regular asian cuisine, I guess. The coconut shake and iced coffee were decent but not worth $7 in my opinion. The atmosphere was cool, but the tables, chairs, and utensil holders were sticky and the metal hooks holding the tablemats in place had brown grime on them. I'm also unsure of when the last time the plastic flowers in the utensil holders were cleaned, which is a worry as the cutlery directly touch them and you also have to move the flowers out of the way to access your cutlery. The wait staff were great but I do feel bad for them as they had to constantly duck under the paper dragons hung from the ceiling Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian dumplings available, as well as fries and stir fried veggies
The Ribs were overcooked, dry and tough as leather. The Pho was completely tasteless. We decided not to order dessert because of the mains. Wait staff were good, but won't go back. Very disappointed.
Cool asian street food vibes, great for Friday night drinks. The food was okay, the ribs and chicken nibbles were good but the jackfruit bao and the tofu bao were average.
We enjoyed but didn’t love the experience here. The music made for a strange atmosphere it was very 2016 pop. The food was pretty good but not outstanding. The edamame was too soft and was soggy. The noodles were too intensely flavoured. The hawker roll was really good. Fortune cookies were great and $2!! Nice place but change the music please
I think it's so awesome that they serve free range chicken- not many places on Dominion Road do. We would have liked the drinks and shisha to be served a little faster because we were waiting for half an hour before we received them and there was only one other small table of people. I understand that Love Exposure is a fusion restaurant but it would be lovely if they used more traditional Asian flavours. We found the food VERY sugary and Westernised. The decor was really fun and the area we were sitting in was great.
Love exposure was one of the best spots me and my friends have been too! Great shisha and food! Very pleasant with the service there too !! Will for sure be coming back
The steamed baos were delicious and also the chicken popcorn! Cocktail bucket is also a great option for anyone that is sharing with a friend!
My first experience at this was horrible. Food portions and the price wise doesn’t even match at all. Food doesn’t taste fresh. Chips were soggy. We ordered 5 dishes and there was no single dish we were happy with. Such a waste of money, we will not be back sorry. But it was a waste of $120.. felt so embarrassed infront of our friends
Love Exposure was a must try restaurant for me as I have tried Kiss Kiss, Happy Boy and Chinoiserie. Their service was great and the continued neon dimmed mood lighting continued in the theme of this Vietnamese fusion restaurant. We tried the lemongrass Bahn mi, salt & pepper squid, Vietnamese spring rolls, satay chicken, bun cha along with some coconut mock tails. Some of the dishes were hits like the Bahn mi, satay chicken and bun cha, however some weren’t. Our beverages were exquisite, creamy and refreshing! For dessert we tried the lavender tapioca pudding and mango coconut dessert and these were disappointing. Overall, dinner was delicious and next time awareness of what to not order will resonate.
