I've been getting my business trousers tailored here for ages. And they've always done a good job. Forgot the lady's name but she always does it so well. Absolutely horrible shoulder/sleeve alteration for a price more expensive than the coat itswlf. First they didn't even use a measuring tape to take measurements of the proper lengths instead using pins?! What kind of professional does that? Then, on pickup, I found the shoulders being uneven and upon repeatedly requesting for them to recheck as they were somehow unable to see the problem, the measuring tape finally came out and the mistake was identified. I had to give it up again. When I next collected it, it was still the same and the receptionist said that I can't return it until next week if I see a problem. Now I am tired and impatient. They have ruined my Zara coat by altering it wrong and also pasting it differently, making the two sleeves uneven. I would ask for a refund if I couldService: Alterations

I have been going to look smart for a long time because they are so helpful, quick and so brilliant at adapting clothes to what you want, I sew myself and recently Shabbat saved a dress for me which I thought impossible to fix. Needed straps on a dress altered- terrible workmanship in hindsight having now had it fixed by looksmart alterations west city waitakere who are amazing to fix up the terrible job. Not being a seamstress I did not understand how it was so wrong until it was later shown and explained to me by another professional. On collection from st lukes the woman hurried me away saying my concern one strap was higher was unfixable and that's just how it is..... didnt realize the extent of the un even work approx 2 cm higher on one shoulder until later shown. The guy at the desk also gave himself 5 stars when I paid prior to job being completed at counter on my behalf. I needed some alterations done on a number of dresses to take on an overseas trip and decided to call in to Looksmart St Lukes. Shabnam offered suggestions on how to remodel the garments. I was impressed with the care she took, her skillful advice plus the end results. Also was impressed with her pleasant obliging manner. The customer service from the owner, and another two members of the team who also did a couple of alterations for me the same week, was also excellent. Clothing alterations are generally expensive in Auckland compared with Sydney say but at least Looksmart St Lukes can be counted upon to do a great job and to the customer's satisfaction. Based on circumstantial evidences, my wife's coat wasn't dry cleaned at all. There were creases on elbow, stains were not removed at all. Most of all how can we smell her perfume if it was dry cleaned?
