Nice experience….after 11 years! Our last visit to Lone Star, Queenstown was in 2011. The most recent visit was in December 2022 - during Christmas/ New Year holidays. We were a group of 8, including 5 vegetarians. All the dishes we had were well prepared, and the wait time was reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient. If my memory serves me right, the number of vegetarian options in 2022 is more than in 2011, which is great. It was quite a nice experience dining at Lone Star, after the long drive from Christchurch. My only small complaint would be that there was no guacamole/ avocado in the nachos dish. The dish was tasty nevertheless, hence we didn’t mention it to the staff there. I will be happy to dine here again.
Our server Basil was amazing, he was friendly and entertaining, thank you Basil. The food was worth the price you paid and absolutely delicious. Went there for my nieces 18th birthday, Basil sang her happy birthday and she was given a free desert.Food: 5/5
We love Lone Star Queenstown, great atmosphere and absolutely the best food in town. A huge shout out to Eva, what a great host ... very personable and she adds so much to the way things are done at what is honestly our favourite restaurant anywhere. We dined here a couple of nights ago. The menu had great variety. The serving sizes are huge which is great!! Our waiter had a face mask on and it made it very hard for everyone to hear. The venue was very crowded and it was hard to have a conversation in the dining space.Recommended dishesRedneck Ribs
Great service from the crew. Perfect ambience. The sauces/dressings in each dish were amazing. Definitely recommend the Redneck Ribs. Will return here the next time I'm back in Queenstown. Cheers

I recently celebrated my birthday there and had the most fantastic night. I attended the function from overseas but even the planning was simple and easy thanks to the fabulous staff, from the moment we first made contact. On the night everything went perfectly. The staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming, the drinks were excellent and food was simply delicious. Getting that many meals out at once, on time and all fresh and hot I’m sure was a challenge but didn’t seem like it. It was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate my birthday and if I could go back again I would! A special thanks to Jen, Marketa and Mary who really went above and beyond to ensure the evening was a success, and made me feel special and valued.
Food was AMAZING!! We ordered online and the food arrived warm, tasted delicious and portions wayyyy bigger than we were expecting I really think Lone Star botany Auckland can learn something from Lone star Queenstown!! Thanks team for an amazing dinner

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday here and it was excellent. We had a truly fantastic evening and all the staff were amazing, with special thanks to Jen, Marketa and Mary who were absolutely outstanding, and provided exceptional service and made the evening go smoothly. A special shout out to Dave Gardner who made the booking process from far away easy, with excellent follow up and attention to detail. Last but not least, the meals were excellent too. Highly recommend you eat here.
