Both trained chefs, this couple have owned large and busy cafes and restaurants for many years, collecting plenty of awards and loyal customers along the way.
Here at Local Cafe, Richard creates his popular gourmet pies and salads for the cabinets along with preparing fabulous breakfast and lunch dishes while Anita bakes daily and tries to keep up with the demand for her scones, fudgey chocolate brownie and her little cakes. Ever mindful of the balance between tasty and healthy, Anita has created plenty of gluten and dairy free options with no compromise on flavour or satisfaction.
Coffee is by Chiasso roasted in Devonport and Anita has been instrumental in recent improvements to Chiasso's own espresso preparation methods.
