This is an exciting time for me as I am beginning on a new career path which is both exciting and daunting. Creating homes to fit my taste either renting, subletting and owning, it has been a passion of mine since leaving home in my early teens to create a 'me' space that I can enjoy and share. For all those that have had the opportunity to come to the Bay of Islands, you will know what a unique and wonderful place it is.
I, with my partner, would come north every other weekend to camp, fish, snorkel and dive. I loved photograpy, bush walks and the odd bit of sketching. My partner is a keen boatie so it wasn't a hard decision to make a permanent move here.
That was 20 years ago. Things are changing, as they always will but they seem to be at a slower pace than in other parts of the world, thankfully.
Now we have a son and I can't think of a better place to raise him than in the Russell village community.
And so, watch this space and see how I grow into my new roll as consultant for those of you who want to share in the Bay of Islands way of life..
