Story

Our aim: to bring you the world’s most natural, safe and effective skincare. We use New Zealand’s native botanicals to purify, heal and nourish in our extensive range of beauty solutions.

Our extensive collection of skincare, bodycare, haircare and cosmetics carry the ‘Certified Natural Cosmetic’ seal of BDIH Germany – proving that our full range has satisfied BDIH’s stringent standards of purity and natural origin. Living Nature has also achieved the Whole Foods Market ‘Premium Body Care’ Standard, meeting their strictest standards for quality sourcing, environmental impact, results and safety.

At Living Nature we use only certified natural ingredients, fragrance and preservatives. Our range is certified free from:

• Synthetic preservatives, such as parabens or phenoxyethanol
• Harsh surfactants, such as sodium, ammonium and lauryl/laureth sulphates
• Petrochemicals, including PEGs, paraffin and other glycols
• Silicones
• Mineral oils
• Genetically modified or irradiated ingredients
• Artificial fragrances
• Grain alcohols
• Phthalates
• Bisphenol-A (BPA)

When it comes to skincare, what you leave out is as important as what you put in. So we have a simple mantra: if there is any doubt about an ingredient’s safety, we will not use it.

Instead, since 1987, we have researched and developed our own formulations to harness the power of New Zealand’s unique native plants. New Zealand has been geographically isolated for over 80 million years, in which time a unique flora has evolved. Over 80% of New Zealand’s plants are found nowhere else in the world. Many of these ancient plants such as harakeke flax, kumerahou, manuka and totara have unique bioactive properties, some of which are proven to be wound-healing on the skin.

We use nature’s ancient science to create a timeless beauty range. Quite simply, our products are Made of New Zealand.

Living Nature contains absolutely no synthetic ingredients or endocrine disruptors. Our full range is Certified Natural by BDIH Germany, and many of our products carry the Whole Foods Premium Body Care standard.

Our products are independently verified for safety, plus we have one of the best ratings in the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database. Our policy: if there is any doubt about the safety of an ingredient, we don’t use it.

Instead, we harness the incredible bioactive power of New Zealand’s native plants with their nourishing, purifying and healing skin benefits. Our highly effective energetic skincare is designed to enhance your skin’s own natural function. This efficacy is reviewed with ongoing independent testing.

Our Kerikeri facility uses only energy sourced from a carbon-neutral hydro and wind energy supplier, and filtered rainwater harvested from our roof. Our packaging is fully recyclable, meets the highest EU environmental standards, and is free from harmful phthalates and Bisphenol-A (BPA). Paper and cartons are sourced from renewable, managed forests and, like our inks, are free from dioxin and elemental chlorine. We use no animal products, other than beeswax, honey and lactose obtained using industry best practice methods. We will never test our products on animals.
