Being able to protect your children and prepare them for the outside world is every mothers aspiration! As a mother of three young children, living out on a farm water safety was an ESSENTIAL for me in order to protect my children! Now that we have moved to the beach - it is even more imperative! I have trained and worked as a secondary school PE teacher over the past 6 years - I also used to coach higher level swimming and swim myself. I have completed my lifeguards certificate and done lotto swim safe (before swimming nz introduced their learn to swim programme!) Discovering that Whitianga did not have little kiddies swimming school bothered me a little and with a bit of a push from my family - i decided to make it happen!! We are just starting out and we are relying gratefully on the kindness of our local community, in gaining access to a suitable pool - but we will make this happen - and we will get our children water safe and ready for life at the BEACH!
Our mission is to get children water safe from the age of 3 months! In a country surrounded by water it is essential that our children learn to swim!
