Clean place, proper machines, butn1. I didn’t get how to purchase washing powder..nThe main reason for 3 stars. Hopefully, locals are so friendly and shared a scoop.nn2. a bit weird to still use plastic cards:na. Recharge can only be done as of multiple of 10nzd of which 1nzd for plastic card.n6nzd warm washing and 5nzd for drier => math doesn’t work with 9nzd credit to pay for 11nzd value washing and drying, so you need to recharge for another 10 nzd. And what should I do with remaining credit 9nzd? =>not suitable for 1time wash or rather expensive in this case. Again, thanks to locals nb. Plastic cards are not sustainable! I saw the same machines in Australia directly connected to credit card machine - just an idea for renewal period.
Dryers barely work … …. Two full cycles 25min x2 on high heat in a large dryer with a 1/2 load and stuff was STILL damp in places.nnThe 10$ card load thing is also a total scam for travellers. I’d go to a different brand of laundromat if possible.
Super impressed at cleanliness of facility and dryer lint trays are near spotless.nSome branches around the country need to up their standards.
Good clean facilities. Good amount of machines and different sizes. Use these laundromats all over the country. Uses the card.
Effectively 20 dollars to wash and dry my clothing because I will never be coming back. It hasn’t cleaned any of my white shirts so presumably the darker stuff will be the same - I put in the directed amount of powder in a large machine and there is still visible dirt. Because you can only add to your laundry card in $10 increments I have spent 20 dollars to wash and dry… and as stated, will not be returning. Will likely reach out via email to try resolve my issue however these prices for such short wash/dry times that don’t effectively clean clothes is not acceptable. And before some knob replies to this and claims I overloaded the machine, - I didn’t - it could’ve gone in a small machine but I figured the larger one would wash more evenly. Clearly I was wrong.
