So sick of ringing this GP to chase up my mother's prescriptions. Constant battle that has been going on for 4 months now. They keep sending her scripts to the wrong pharmacy over and over, even when I literally spell it out to them where to send it. If my mum was on her own she'd be dead right now having not received life-saving medication, as would any other vulnerable patient. Absolute disgrace. Don't even get me started on their awful online system. Whoever even heard of online requests being 'closed for the day'. Maybe if they just did some work to clear the deluge of ignored and desperate patients, they could leave their online forms open and actually work efficiently. Receptionist told me if they did pharmacy requests on the phone 'they'd be stuck on the phone all day!' ...isn't that your job? Might prevent me from spending an average of 20mins on hold on the phone every time I have to call them to fix their latest c**k up.
Was in the queue for 23 minutes+ was fifth caller, then 4th then 3rd and then the line went dead. Have been trying for a month on and off to get through been to the pharmacist and been told I need to see a GP.
Telephoned. Eventually joined the queue. Eventually got through to reception. Was told I could only book an appointment online. Spent forever being sent to the page where it says 'Online Requests Suspended'. Still have no appointment. I've been doing this for days. The procedure to attain an appointment at this surgery is total rubbish. Now I have to lose further time at work telephoning the surgery & queuing again to speak to a receptionist at a surgery which seems to be doing it's utmost to make it impossible to see a doctor. I'd pay for a private consultation but I need a referral from a GP to do this. It's a vicious circle. I didn't want to give even one star with this review but I could not post without.
The reception team is terrific, they take ages to pick up the phone even if you are call number 1 and even if you called the appointment line they ask you to book online. When you say okey but you give me this appointment to see the GP and I would like to know what it is for, they right straight say oh I can't tell you for what it is, if you feel you don't need the appointment don't do it... The I am fed up with your call voice adds to it
I’ve been with this practice for 34 years , Fantastic doctors, always quick to deal with any health issues, not only with me but with my 3 children & husband . my parents have both recently moved into the area , and have both said best doctors ever. We definitely wouldn’t go anywhere else. Many thanks to all of you who work at this practice . Totally recommend *****
Very disappointed in Linden house in my opinion the surgery has gone down hill very fast . I filled in the usual annoying on line form over 2 weeks ago about a problem . I had A Dr call me gave me a prescription it didn’t work . I filled out another form last week . Got referred to the GP Hub . A lovely phone call with. Dr . But no real progress so phoned today about the same problem as the On line service is overwhelmed and not receiving any emails and the best they can do is get a Dr to call me in a weeks time . I feel sorry for the receptionist as she has to deal with disgruntled patients but the system stinks . Especially the stupid bit at the end of the on line form . Asking what would you do if you couldn’t get through .
I can’t get through. I was left hanging for 30 minutes. I tried on line and for the last five days it says no more online appointments available. When I finally got through - on Thursday there was no one answering the phone at all because of staff training ! - I was told someone would come back. But nothing. I am trying to sort out my 96 year-old mother’s care. She finally managed to have her hearing checked after the pandemic and was told she needs her ears waxed - they are whistling. They could not do it there, they said. She is mainly housebound has Alzheimer’s and needs a lot of support. But she has fallen off the system . The receptionist’s answer was pay privately or go to Specsavers. Poor is being kind.
Apart from a handful of doctors over the 30 years I have been registered with the surgery, I can not say a good thing about it. The handful of doctors there are the only reason I have given two stars instead of one. The receptionists over the years have been repeatedly unapproachable and unhelpful. The new online booking system is awful. Currently you can not book an appointment in any form with a doctor with out being on hold for half an hour or more on the phone. You can not actually get a appointment online the proffered way at all. Luckily I have moved to dorking and have actually signed with a new doctor due to the poor service offered and the amount of times my prescriptions for such simple things as contraceptive have been forgotten. I am someone who may use a doctors surgery a few times every now and then. I am not a unhealthy person in anyway. But those few times I do need help in some way I have been serverly let down. I really hope the systems, procedures and the way the receptionist staff act are looked in to and have a revamp to support the patients going forward in the future.
In my view some of the best doctors work at this surgery. Dr Williams and Dr Steinhardt has been absolutely awesome with everything I have put them through over the years. Even through the pandemic they still provided an exceptional service. The reception staff can have their moments but what can you expect when you have to deal with the public. I personally have never had any issues with them though. If you need a GP service in leatherhead then I defo recommend these.
Both the receptionists and the doctors are unhelpful, unapproachable and have no bedside manner. The website is outdated and does not work. You can not book an appointment with a doctor easier and the booking system online is awful. You are on hold for 45 minutes before even being told you should book online. You can not get a appointment online anyway. They need to revamp their system and website to make it easier access and their reception Highly disappointed
