Story

Lincoln Village Vets opened its doors at 83 East Belt on 3 October 2011.

Motivated by a love of pets, and with a dream of offering high quality, personal veterinary care we set out on this journey just over a year ago.

A lot has changed in Christchurch since August 2010 when we first sat down to talk about the perfect location for our new clinic. It has been a bumpy year for everyone with a lot of changes, countless challenges and many opportunities to realise how lucky we are and how easily things can change in a moment.
We have been very fortunate here in Lincoln, suffering only minor set-backs with the earthquakes. With our family, friends & pets all safe it has only strengthened our resolve to remain in Canterbury and work hard to make our clinic an integral part of the Lincoln Village Community.
We are looking forward to greeting lots of our four legged friends at the clinic and welcoming many new ones.

Great little vet practice. Lovely people and got some good advice on cat parenting and animal health in general. Expected it to cost a bomb but for vaccination and worm etc was pretty good. Lincoln Village Vets now provider of choice for Ned the cat.
Erratic approach to veterinary care. Rude. Do their absolute best to not be of any help. I needed some simple drops / solution to clean our dogs' ears. I didn't ask for open heart surgery to be done.

I had a very distressing incident with the manager of this vet after my 16-year-old cat had to be put to sleep. I’m still very upset by the unkind and unnecessary treatment at a time when empathy and compassion would have been very much appreciated. I will never use this business again. In response to the accusation of abusive and threatening behaviour below. I had asked the vet for an invoice so I could pay via internet banking when I got home because I had left my purse and the process of euthanising our cat had been prolonged and very upsetting. She fabulous vet agreed. It was when I came out of the consulting room with my two adolescent children crying I was told I would have to pay immediately. I had to then drive home, leave my kids and drive back to pay a bill I could have paid online. I was upset, and angry. I was not threatening and frankly the attitude of the manager was atrocious which further distressed me. This was a difficult time, a terrible decision we had made for a cat we have loved dearly for 16 years and has left all three of us traumatised. It could all have been avoided if the bill had been given to me as the vet agreed it could be. I work as a nurse, I would never treat a grieving family the way we were treated.

We had an ongoing issue with our dog for 2 years which cost us many dollars each month. We visited Lincoln Village Vets who took swabs sent for analysis and within 2 days of using prescribed medication the issue started to respond. It has now pretty much cleared completely. Great caring service as well.
Recommend this veterinary clinic to all my friends. Excellent caring staff who communicate everything so well to you and costs very reasonable. Our dog Dougal loves being there no matter what is happening to him. Great great place. In the last fortnight had to have Dougal treated. Care,compassion and communication to me absolutely excellent. LINCOLN VETS YOU ARE THE BEST
