Been in Lincoln for 3 years and accepted there high prices as the food was good but the portion sizes are just taking the piss now. This is supposed to be a full scoop of chips. A scoop at most chip shops will be enough for 3 or 4 people but this is just pitiful for how much they charge.
Average fish and chips and prices are quite steep. Hotdog was half the size that it should have been. The shop felt a bit dirty and could do with a bit of tlc.
Great fish n chips every time. Staff are efficient, friendly and the wait time is minimal. Pricing is great too :-
Used to love the fish and chips here. Quality and quantity was good. And I had stopped buying from the Lincoln Chinese takeaway.nBut of lately both the quality and quantity has gone drastically down. At first I thought it would be just for that one day. But tried multiple times and remained the same.. 1/2 scoop of Chinese takeaway is equal to 1 scoop from here. Very disappointed now. I used to recommend this place over the Chinese takeaway, but not anymore. Two stars because it used to be good.nPS. Will try sometime later and updated if it gets better.
Order battered 'hoki' fillet, tasted metallic, we strongy believe this was a piece of shark.nHoki fish burger, fish was dry and lettuce old and manky.nChips were soggy and greasy.nCurry rolls were oily and tasted average.nChicken burger was average....gone are the days where a slice of tomato is included, is only lettuce and maybe some sauce.nWon't be going back as most of this went in the bin.
