When a cinema doesn't say that identification is provided for specific films on its website, then insists when you turn up to the cinema that you can't watch without identification, that doesn't say a lit for how well that business is run in this day and age. Took my daughter and her friends out to see a film, and was told as they had no ID proving their age they couldn't watch the film. They insisted the need for ID was on their website when there is no mention of this on their booking page. I had previously enjoyed going to this cinema but in future I will be taking my custom to one of the multitude of much better run cinemas in the local area. Appalling customer service.
So cute and cosy move theatre
First time going to Light House Cinema!nnFantastic, friendly, helpful staff! Combined with the largest, most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in at a movie theatre made for a very enjoyable movie experience!nnUnfortunately, they didn't sell popcorn! I don't think I've ever been to a movie theatre that doesn't sell popcorn! Like a pub not selling beer!nnAnd $6.50 for a can of Coke!?nnReally!?nnI know movie theatre prices are what they are, but c'mon!
absolutely delightful little cinema, my place to be on a Monday evening, signed up as a member, great deals, coffee on point, and friendly staff always warm and welcoming, and you can see a range of movies you may not go to for a fraction of the price! Adults at kids prices for kids movies is also great!
Sister and I attended 3.15pm screening of Tinā. Told we’d be alerted when it was time to go in. Never happened. Got in AFTER 3.15. Group of children were still inside cinema cleaning their mess. Couldn’t help cringing at the Sergeant Major actions of the adults in charge..SO uptight lining up the kids, correcting something trivial.. What an extreme way to enjoy school holidays and keep us waiting. Staff were fluffing about trying to sort things for next screening. . Absolutely DISGRACEFUL display of unprofessional behaviour from a senior female staff member who marched up to a customer, snatched a cup of coffee from table and headed towards the counter. When questioned by customer, staff member turned around and loudly accused the patron of not paying or something similar. Power tripping and obviously an exhibitionist.. WHATEVER the issue, there were several options of handling the situation professionally and privately. It caused unnecessary anxiety and embarrassment to those being accused. Won’t be back to Lighthouse Petone.. ridiculous prices, average service and fake staff. Thank goodness the film was worth it.
