'Furniture that respects learning'
As we have progressed into the 21st century, it has become clear that learning spaces must evolve. No longer can we persist with educational environments that were designed to fulfil the needs of education in a rising industrial age over 100 years ago. We must adapt our learning spaces to help our youth develop and succeed in a dynamic world of rapidly advancing technology.
Does this mean our mission is to put every child in a box with a computer? Far from it! Grocare sees the need for providing youth with adequate space and resources to discover and search out what is most important to them as unique individuals.
We believe that open learning space provides youth with the right environment to take on a self-directed approach to learning. They should be able to draw from their surrounding environment to make choices about what they want to learn and the pace in which they learn it.
Loris Malaguzzi stated the importance of the learning environment way back in the 1940’s, defining it as the “Third Teacher.”
“There are three teachers of children: adults, other children and their physical environment.”
Loris Malaguzzi
Therefore our purpose at Grocare is “To create innovative and safe environments that assist in the development of youth.”
Provide the education sector with furniture designed and constructed using cutting-edge innovations and trends that facilitate Educators and Children to get the best out of every day.
