Welcome to our Centre
We are a privately owned Centre, operating at 15 Sanday Street, Palmerston.
We are open for 50 weeks of the year, closing for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. We are open for all other school holidays.
Our hours of operation are 7.30 to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday. (Upon request this may be reviewed to hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm)
Our Centre Aims Include:
1. Provide a safe and stimulating environment for our children.
2. Qualified and experienced teachers who are able to provide and promote educational and care programmes that will meet the needs of each child and follow the national curriculum Te Whariki.
3. A ratio of staff to children which is better than the required minimum.
4. Family support and parent education.
5. Provide nutritious daily meals which will all be made fresh daily onsite.
6. Ensure both indoor and outdoor areas are secure and set up to ensure maximum opportunity for learning and development.
7. Create a partnership between the centre staff, management and parents so we are all working as a team to provide quality education for the children.
Parents and Whanau are welcome to join in our daily activities and are free to pop in and say hello throughout the day. The centre also has a parent/Whanau library available for your use.
Programme
Our Centres daily program encourages infants, toddlers and your children to become active learners as they explore, discover and learn through a variety of areas of play. The programme includes time in mixed age groups as well as time in small same age groups. Drama, music, art, stories, free play, access to interactive computer programmes and structured exercises in language and mathematics are all included in the programme.
