We rented surfboards and wetsuits here twice. Contacted them pretty last minute, but got a quick response from Lindsey that it would be no problem to pick up all the gear the next morning. Got lots of tips about the area and where the best surf would be. Lindsey and his partner are the loveliest people you can rent your gear from; warm folks with lots of knowledge about the surf in the area. And it is a really good deal. We could surf for as long as we wanted! Would absolutely recommend for the whole area. Thanks a lot guys
Rented gear here a couple of times and the whole experience was fantastic. We called to find out what the forecast would be like, wanting to consult local knowledge. Within minutes we were texted back with what time would be best and where to go.nGear is rented for the whole day so no rushing to get in the water and back to the rental location.nLindsey and his partner are very welcoming and lovely people. We never once felt like a customer.nWould wholehearteldly recommend them to anyone in the neighbourhood and will gladly come back in the future, even just to say hello!nOh and don't forget to ask about the local handshake!
I booked a surfing session for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. We had no idea what we were getting into, as we didn't know the area or the surf school.nApart from the sporting experience, which we thoroughly enjoyed, we were lucky enough to have been welcomed and treated like royalty by Lindsey and his partner. They were simply extraordinary people, spreading their kindness and infectious joie de vivre.nI'd recommend this experience to Kakanui 1000%, we were much more than just customers in their eyes, I couldn't choose what I liked best about surfing and meeting them.nI wish everyone to experience moments of sharing like this one. As a French backpacker, I dream of being able to have similar experiences in my own country.nn+ a special mention to the young instructor for his patience and friendliness - he was incredible!
Awesome place to rent a surfboard en gear. No stress and could surf for as long as we had fun. Really recommend this surf school.nnAlso gave some tips for places to visit allong the way to dunedin.
Great surf school. Went to rent some boards. No time limit and super easy going. Definitely recommend.
