Literally sitting in reception, listening to the staff making fun of patients behind there backs, making jokes like not the child with mental health problems it's her and things f a similar nature. Appalling. Arrogant staff. I will not be returning to my doctor of 26+ years due to the lack of professionalism
My family and I have been registered to this clinic for as long as I can remember. It’s has recently come to my attention of the inefficiency of this medical centre as a family member had to wait several hours to see our family doctor who in the end wasn’t able to see said person. In all fairness this had upset them and they let it known to the nurse who had seen them. I tested positive for covid at the start of the week and received a text to “contact Leamington Medical Centre straight away with any medical concerns” I spoke to a nurse who was very rude to me on the phone and soon come to realise she knew my family connections and I’m left to assume it’s a personal reason as to why she had mistreated me which is completely unprofessional also to comment on the relationship with a family member My experience at this clinic has me believe they are not concerned for their patients wellbeing, which is what I personally would look for in a medical centre. While on the topic, several years ago I had seen a doctor out of concern for my crooked shoulder which causes me discomfort and mild pain to which the nurse had said “no one would care about” and said it shouldn’t be something for me to be concerned of. A few weeks later I had received a call saying I missed an X-ray appointment I was never informed of to get my shoulder looked at. I’m sorry to leave such a negative response, however I hope this information will be useful to those looking for a new clinic.
My appointments with physician Esteliz have been amazing. She is very compassionate, caring and never rushes me. She’s a great listener, very helpful and is always fighting for a solution. Best service I’ve had in years! Highly recommend Esteliz.
Reception is highly inefficient, from not answering the phone when being called 40 rings!!, to gossiping so much you have to stand there waiting to pay after your appt, while you hear about "Sandras new puppy". The drs are mostly very good, bit of a quick in and out, even if you are on time you wait for 10mins of your appt time so they rush you in the last 5 to spit a verse about whats up only to get referred somewhere more capable or next door to get some pills
Trying to get an appointment is difficult. And definitely not somewhere to go if you have an accident.
I went there today with severe pain in my shoulder and upper spine. When I got there it was 9.50am there was 5 people there. I asked the receptionist if I should wait there to see the doc or go to anglesey st AnE she said there was only a couple of people before me so I stayed there. I had to go lay on a bed as it's to painful to sit. An hour later a nurse came to get info from me. I then asked her if i would be seen before 12 as I'm diabetic and look after my father and need to get home. She said there was a few people before me but I would be seen by then. Another 45 mins later i went after sitting there crying in pain. I went to the receptionist and said love how much longer as I've been here nearly 2 hours and im diabetic and need to eat and get home to my dad. She said it will be a bit yet I said there was only 5 people in here when I arrived. Does it go in order or by each case she said by order but 2 people took longer than expected. I then asked if I could have some panadol as the pain was getting worse and I hadn't had any since 7 am she said she would see the nurse. Another 15 mins later no one still hadnt come so I left. I understand that people have to wait but dont tell someone that there's only a couple of people before you if that's not the case. All I wanted to know was if i had a ruptured a disc in my upper back or was it a pinched nerve and if the pain meds I had at home was ok to take with my other medications and if it's ok to use more antimflamortorys than what I normally take. I'm feeling very let down and disappointed. If your medical practice cant provide the emergency service to the best possible standards maybe you shouldn't be providing that service... I will never go there again and would never reccomend that practice to anyone
My g.p Christina Benson is very quick to see future danger for patients and prevent them. I went in with six weeks of incredibly dibilitating back pain and a sense of impending doom. I was sent to Ed straight away and I was in sepsis which is life threatening. We caught it straight away and thats why im still alive. I was afraid and she was afraid but she never let me feel that there wasn't hope. I go in for consult for spinal surgery in a fortnight and I could have been going in the ground. If you want excellent care and a human approach to medicine and what is important for you then this is the best place for you.
We are from out of town and I had 2 13 year old boys who had pretty bad head knocks from rugby and another 13 year old with server chest pain. Called ahead and explained their condition then asked if someone could see them .The super rude receptionist said “no we don’t do that here” even though they had appointments available. There was no explanation why or anything. Not nice to hear when your a Mum/Aunty worried about your kids wellbeing.
Leamington Medical Center has restored my faith in New Zealands' medical system. Have been dealing with unreliable, expensive, unknowledgable medical practitioners and medical centres for years and was utterly refreshed when I had my very first appointment at Leamington Medical Center today. Friendly and accommodating staff and helpful and knowledable practitioners, safe to say I did not waste any time transfering to and registering with my new medical provider. Thank you so much.
Friendly and good range of doctors, nurses and admin. Knowledgeable and caring but female doctors seem more caring and dedicated.Exceptional network and support if you need more eg.nurses, ambulance, support.Always helps to do own research
