Le Royal Bakery

Discovered this lovely neighbourhood bakery in Grafton with light flaky pastries! Bought an assortment for the family. Tried the Pork Belly pie, Mince & Cheese, Chicken & Mushroom, Mini Sausage Roll, Sausage Bun and Bacon & Egg pie. Our favourite was the PB yummy Asian 5 spice flavour! & CM pies. I reheated these for eatting with pre-heated oven @160°C for 10-15mins and burnt the Mince & Cheese and Chicken & Mushroom pies. Please excuse my photos, which do not do justice to the pies. Also, delicious flaky pastry blueberry danish for pm tea. It had a coconut custard underlying the blueberry filling, which was not too sweet, although I personally prefer plain blueberry filling. Thank you for the bonus Blueberry muffin! Definitely will come back for more.

Decent bakery with lots of savoury and sweet options. The pies are quite nice but the donuts are nicer. Nice place for a quick and cheap meal that tastes good. Edit: The pork belly pie was really tasty.

These guys make great pies. They won at the 2021 NZ supreme pie awards for their Bacon & egg. 2021 Bronze winner for their steak n gravy. Their mince and cheese pie is the best l've ever had & highly recommend.

Have been coming here for a while. Today tried the pork belly pie and it was a life changing moment for me personally. Amazing. 11/10.

Their pies are yummy. But they keep raising the price. I would rate 4/5 for the pies, but unfortunately the sweets are disappointing. Sandwiches and bagels are okay. They're cheap so you can't complain much. As the only bakery in Park road they're always busy.

Good selections with lots of sandwiches and baked goods. Reasonably priced, and have a very consistent quality over the years. One of my favourite place when I need to satisfy my baked-goods cravings.

Called in the other day and got a mince and cheese pie, they got silver in 2017, it was a bloody amazing pie, I have eaten the gold winners by Patrick Lamb and this was better by a mile.

My go-to place for bread after or before work. Coffee is also gooooood :
