Pre-purchase boat surveys, Marine insurance surveys, pre-purchase consultations
From purchase support advice through to a full pre-purchase survey of the boat you own or would like to buy we will endeavor to meet your requirements.
Generally, the purpose of a Laver Marine Survey is to report on the overall condition of a vessel and search for defects that would seriously affect the safety and or value of a vessel; such as delaminating of core and inner/outer skins, water ingress, osmosis, rot, corrosion and fatigue etc. We also seek to compliment the vessels good points. We respect that there are the interests of both the buyer and the seller to be mindful of, but ultimately it is the integrity of our surveys and the safety of those who would be aboard the boat that are of the upmost importance. Accordingly, Laver Marine Ltd. strives to provide an unbiased factual report of a vessel as we find it on the day of survey.
All reports contain findings and recommendations. Recommendations are prioritised into three categories. These being;
To be addressed before vessel is relaunched.
To be addressed within a reasonable time frame (six months).
To be addressed at owners' discretion.
Laver Marine Ltd. carries professional indemnity insurance cover with underwriters Lloyds of London and public liability with Lumley.
